December 23rd

We are experiencing colder than normal water temperatures,  A theory is that the Great Salt Lake level is very low, due to the drought,  and not pushing down on the aquifer, so water is not rising as fast as normal, therefore not warming the bays as much as it did.  The fish are staying in the warm vents, so far, and most seem to be doing OK.  It is still good diving, but be sure to plan on bringing or renting a good wetsuit  to have a good experience.  White Rock bay is down to 56 degrees, Habitat Bay is 54, and the Abyss is 75 degrees.
